In the time it has taken to develop these indices they have been in constant change. They have been made easily understood, quantifiable, simple and their data made accessible or will be made accessible. They might change in the future, both in wording and it is possible that they will be removed and other indices be put in their place.

The owners of the project will hopefully grow in number and it is therefore assumed that new owners might influence the presentation of the indices and that new indices will be added. 

When developing the indices, the odds of having to make huge changes after measurements began have been restricted. That has been done by e.g. making sure that the data in the indices is accessible in the public sector, that the data collection is continuous, licences are in order, with environmental assessments and comparisons to international indices and goals on reliability. 

If indices have to be changed, a process has been published that describes how those changes will be made. The process is clear and simple, the steering committee can of its own incentive or the incentive of the project manager suggest to the owner of the project changes and the decision lies with the owner.
