During the local council elections last spring, the municipalities Skútustaðahreppur and Þingeyjarsveit merged. The new municipality was named Þingeyjarsveit. Gaum's website sometimes publishes data that is broken down into the municipalities in the central area, which is Gaum's main monitoring area. So far, data from Norðurþing, Skútustaðahreppi, Tjörneshreppi and Þingeyjarsveit have been published. This year, the change will be that information will not be published separately for the part of Þingeyjarsveitar that belonged to Skútustaðahreppi, but data for the new municipality will be published in one piece under its own name. We already see this in the data for the regional status of car fleets under indicator 2.7. Data were previously published there about e.g. consumption value (l/km in mixed driving), where the consumption value of cars in Skútustaðahreppi is shown for the year 2017-2022, but from the year 2023 the data coincides with the data of the Þingeyjarsveitar. During the year, we will see the same development in other indicators as data about them is received and published.
