Data for indicator 3.1 has been updated for the year 2021.

The number of employees increases in the comparison areas of the Central Area, Eastern Area and Western Area, but decreases in the Central Area. The number was 2,766 people in 2020, but is 2,660 in 2021.

If the percentage of employed persons is examined, it is found that the percentage of employed persons increases in the Central Area from 92.6% to 93.7%. In the Eastern Area, the percentage increases by one percentage point from 93% to 94%. In the Western Area, the same trend is observed from 94% to 94.9%. In the whole country, the percentage of employed people increases from 91.9% to 92.8%.

The number of unemployed people decreased from 221 to 180 in the Central Area, the decrease amounted to 6 people in the Eastern Area, from 47 to 41 and in the Western Area the number decreased from 671 to 573.

The percentage of unemployed decreased from 7.4% to 6.3%, which is similar to the trend in the whole country and in the Eastern Area, but in the Western Area, unemployment remains unchanged between the years, and unemployment in the years 2020 and 2021 in the Western Area is 6%.
